Radiant In-Floor Heat
Hot air rises. With Radiant In-Floor heat, you can utilize this principle and achieve more comfortable and consistent heating in your home. While also being more energy-efficient.
A radiant in-floor heat system is installed by running a network of flexible pipe in your floors. Then connecting that pipe to a special piping system. Hot water circulates through the pipe and the heat is absorbed by the insulation layer under your carpet, tile, or wood flooring. The heat then rises to warm your room. The results are a more uniform temperature throughout the radiant-heat area, and less heat loss when compared to a traditional furnace force-air system.
Did You Know? The earliest recorded use of radiant in-floor heat was by the Romans more than two thousand years ago. The Romans channeled warm air from a fire through a chamber under the floorboards to warm the floors in bathhouses and homes.
