Position Description:
The Plumbing Designer is responsible for the design and layout of plumbing in accordance with Wisconsin Plumbing Code. This individual also represents the company in matters of project coordination and technical assistance to ensure the projects adhere to the clients requirements while staying within a budget.
- Acquire plans from the builder using file share websites
- Perform layout using AutoCAD
- Design of basic plumbing systems: domestic water piping, sanitary drain and vent systems, storm drainage, gas systems and fixture schedules
- Assist the project managers with technical plumbing questions
- Attend job meetings and participate in coordination overlays for the project
- Help maintain organized records of active projects
- Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, and specifications for each assigned project
Requirements:
- Revit experience is a plus
- Knowledgeable with the Wisconsin Plumbing Code
- At least 1 year of plumbing design experience
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar architectural design software
- Strong computer skills
- Desire to learn – additional training in Plumbing Systems would be required and provided
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish multiple tasks
- Attention to detail is a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work well individually and also collaborate as a team!
